This isn't so much a troubleshooting issue as it is an 'I just don't know' problem. I'm fairly new to the game, because my brothers introduced me to it. I was curious how one went about getting UTX files to run in an image editing program like Photoshop. I'm eager to get a look at the skins, faces-- character makes. Even with as much information as can been found on the Web, I'm having trouble figuring this out. And I'm sorry if I'm posting this to the wrong forum, but it was the only one that mentioned help! Any pointers?

Open up the package in UnrealEd and export the selected texture.

I think what you want to do is open UED and go to textures. Open the textures file you want then highlight the texture you want to export then click export to save it on you're desktop/computer. sorta like importing custom textures.

So doing all this is going to help make UTX files Photoshop-able?

So doing all this is going to help make UTX files Photoshop-able? UTX files are not images themselves, merely packages that store unreal DDS textures. to actually edit textures in photoshop, you will need to use UnrealED to export the DDS file you'd like to change FROM the UTX file package, and then open it in PS. you'll need a DDS plugin to do this, likely.
