When trying to play lan using this mod I constantly get disconected and get the message:
"Invalid CD-KEY. The UT2004 Master Server has been unable to validate this copy of Unreal Tournament 2004. If the problem persists, please contact Atari Technical support."
I get this message while trying to play lan with Killing Floor, but for some reason not when playing regular UT2004 lan. I was wondering if there are any additional options I need to turn off in the server rules before creating that will stop this problem from occuring. Thanks.

Its cause your CD-Key is a copy or fake.
You need to contact Tech Support if you think it is official. If it isn't go buy the Anthology it's stupidly cheap and has all the Unreal games up to UT3 on one DVD.

I was just wondering though, since last time I lanned UT2004, everyone just used fake keys since only a couple people had valid cd-keys, and it worked fine. Now with KF and the same cd-keys, it's not working

Yeah I had the same problem with a mate I think its the way the KF server is setup. I would recommend getting a legit key.

If your connected to the internet whilst playing LAN, the cd key server will still try and validate you. If you have a NAT router, either disconnect the internet connection, or if possible create rules to stop the ports getting through.
I also had this problem, it is only UT2K4 that does it, pain in the ass when you're only playing LAN.

There's no authentication during lan play or any reason for it. This happened to me occasionally when I ran a dedi server (TurmoilSaga) and joined via lan (2 different keys also - server used a dedi server key and client used the retail key). I've got no explaination but it doesn't seem to be anything other than an annoyance.
