My problem is two fold! Horay!
First problem: Black screen of death, though I assume that's because of the lack of good servers as the ping for them is N/A, but all the servers with people playing in them having ping of N/A. I sort of understand, but after reinstalling the mod twice, I was hoping it would work :/
Second problem: I can connect to a select few servers, but when I use the command 'showhud' I get a message showing I'm loading the map, maps I've played with bots right before to test it. I've reinstalled the mappack several times and know that I have these maps, but it says I don't. What should I do?

The mappack is outdated. It has old versions of some maps (this is what you get, when not changing the name of a map when you make changes. Pointer to most mappers here).
I suggest downloading v2.11 if you haven't already.

Ah, I did now know that. I do have 2.11, and I've reinstalled the mod and patched it up several times. Is there any place I can go to get updated maps? I mean, downloading each map individually sounds like a major pain in the ass.

Celotex administration is already outdated while it will remain the public version KF-Celotex is going to replace it soon. That helped so much. Anyway, most maps have a thread of their own. So either you visit each individual thread or you do it like me and install the mappack, but don´t overwrite anything. The maps in 2.11 are newer (especially the revamped versions of westlondon and stuff, would be deadly to overwrite those). As for the more special maps... Well, someone would have to update the map thread. I might do that if I´m bored enough (might just happen tomorrow) and send the result to Grex, who in turn could update the map thread then. edit: Scratch that. He last edited it on August 18th, so it´s probably up to date.
