Hi. For some reason, in 2.0 multiplayer, when i create a server, when i hit the tilde (~ ) key (so i can login as admin) it says "this server does not allow late joiners". Yes, I did uncheck the no late joiners box in the options. So why would this occur?  Is there a console command I should know to disable the restriction? |

try pressing ' not tilde?

pressing ' does nothing. its not even binded to anything. I make sure that "no late joiners" box is unchecked in the settings, yet it tells me this when i go to the console after creating my server. Ive never been able to get anyone to jion my server, so thats probably why. if i knew a console command that would turn this off, that would be great. or, its possible the console is lying to me, and its my firewall or router blocking connection. However, i've port forwarded UT2004 so i dont get it. ive done some other things recently too, to try and remedy the problem; i wont be able to see if anyone joins though unless i can get some body i know to come join once the server is up...

Er. well you got me then. I take it you changed the default binding of ' to ~ then?
OH WAIT
You've gotta log in as an admin during the pregame lobby..... perhaps. Try doing it there, not during the game.

hmm, i thought it was always ~ oh well, thats what its on. and yes, i type in adminlogin username then password in during the pregame lobby... thats when i notice the text "this server does not accept late joiners". what i need is someone to try and join my server... but hardly anyone plays whenever im on, so i dont know if anyone actually tries joining. maybe you could help? its fine if you dont want to, but it would help.

yeah it says that message BEFORE i type in adminlogin name and pass... but, it doesnt say anything after that accept that i logged in of course. i was in the lobby thing too. oh, I also tried logging in before i created the server, and that doesnt seem to do anything at all. i dont understand this. could this be a bug? or is that text actually false I wonder...... |

Don't double post.
Don't worry about the No Late Joiners thing, it doesn't mean anything at all.
It displays it everytime I put my server up, but it doesn't make any difference.

okay.
Well i finally figured out the problem though. I havent had anyone try Killing floor with me, but we tried regular ut2004 and alienswarm, and my friend can join my servers. it turns out it was my firewall being a s.o.b. - I did allow ut2004 internet access, but what i failed to realize is that with my firewall set to high security, it blocks incoming internet requests. i found out by disabling my firewall, which i should have tried that a long time ago. -_-'
