I just want to know what you guys are looking forward to most?
As the time of release is legging it full pelt at us, I, myself, am getting very excited!

They all sound very exciting, but since I can only choose one I chose doing the sub missions because it sounds very interesting and makes the gameplay more then just run/kill/hide from the zombies.

HACKING HACKING HACKING I've put in a "knockback" effect on the heavier melee weapons like the axe and bat, so when you smack someone, THEY KNOW ABOUT IT. At this point all the weapons are in-game, and all the monsters that will be included in first release are also done. The soldier model will take tiny bit more tweaking, but it's all looking good Now its just optimizing, mapping, and some menu work and we're gonna be fragging those drooley bastards

Since I can only pick one, and since OoH will have a similar atmosphere, I picked "Being able to fight side by side with your friends". Co-Op is sorely overlooked in games these days, and I think survival horror (pardon for using the phrase) lends itself especially well to Co-Op.

I agree with Nupraptor and voted for the same option. All of them (except for the last one) sound very exciting though

Damn, you people want to USE the melee weapons? I'd better get to work, then... I love melee weapons in games. I feel like they have some "oomph" behind them, as opposed to firearms. I played through Half-Life primarily using the crowbar, Deus Ex using the Dragon Fang, System Shock 2 using the Wrench/Laser Rapier/Crystal Shard... and so on. Any time melee weapons are a feasible option, I use 'em. Make sure that things react properly to getting nailed, too. That said, looking for areas to defend could be really, really fun. I'd like it to be a little more complex than just barricading a door, so we have to watch for the windows, back doors, and whatever else, too.

What I'm waiting for is when all the content congeals into one drippy undead mass of sex... um, atmoshere Some of the maps look so filthy just looking at them makes me want to wash my hands.

Heh, that comment was a joke. The melee weapons look just as wonderful as everything else, and they work, too, I just have a couple bug-fixes I'd been putting off, and chose to use this opportunity to bother alex. Heheh. Thanks to the GoodKarma engine things pretty much react properly without any work on my part, heheh. And don't worry- the zombies WILL show up where you least expect them. This game is intense.

Heh, that comment was a joke. I know. Just had to share my love for bashing things over the head.

I'd actually like to see some REAL coop. As in buddies not running of on their own, spare ammunition, cornered in, so that you actually have to rely on backup. Ever seen what happened to loners in the movies ?! Yeah, that's right, they got munched on...

It's a little bit easier right now than it will be when it finally comes out just because the bots, by default, like to run off on their own and quickly get themselves killed. I've been told by alex, who's managed to actually beat the demo once, that effective bot usage makes all the difference in this game.
But yes, if you get more than two guys on you at once, you're dead. No doubt about it. Use the buddy system, kiddos.

i have a idea so smart you could brush your teeth with it ... how about if u send a big ass zombie like gorefast flying with the base ball bat , the zombie falls on floor ..ur think its dead cos u have been hammering away at it for a while ..then it gets back up when ur least expecting it and cracks you over the head. in english the zombies get back up sometimes for that pants filling experience once in a while.. got the idea from quake ..but now that the patches fixxed it up it rarely happens and i made it through demo to on godlike mode, at beggining a made the bots take the force then at middle i hid ontop of cage for about 30 seconds cos a gorefast over flow and a few wretches, then i got down and managed to make to ammunition area with only 67 health and 20 armor one bot dead and the other knife weilding and 12 health, got some ammo and health phew, couldnt pick some of it up, then frew surviving bot my pistols, ammoo whent whoosh then hes back with knife...made to the room with beds criticaly injured (12 hp 2 armor) and one bot with 67 hp (he was stuck behind the cages !) other one mia) from then i was with only 2 and a half rounds in bullpup and about 4 other bullets... killed a gorefast that managed to use all its brain cells to get in ugly num nuts... nothing was coming ...the other bot died that was mia ..other one buggered off and later died...a min later a stalker circumvented one of the beds when i was drinking a can of coke, she got all the clip in her before she died on16 bullets left but i survived
