Hi,well,i tried starting a server,and after 1 year,i only just found out that if i do open ip > it says port 30000+ (random).It should say 7777 which allows other people to connect. I wanna know how i can keep it at 7777 so people can join. Any Ideas?

Mh, to be honest I´ve never heard of anything like your problem before. Have you looked at the KFMod20.ini ? Pretty much at the beginning there´s a line that starts with "Port=", which is normally 7777. I´ve looked through the rest of the ini, but there´s no entry like "randomize ports".
Well, check that line, see if it´s 7777. Maybe it defaults to random when it´s empty.
It could be a router problem, too, so you might want to check if your router forwards this port, though I´m not sure about that one.

I've had this problem to many times. I have fixed it many times as well. Yes it is a router problem and Yes it could be the Ini has no port. Ether add the port# 7777 in the config if its not there or enable DMZ for you're computer on the router and allow port 7777 on firewall, Applacations and filters if you're router has these selections. To get on you're router, Put this in you're address bar. www.You're-Default-Gateway-IP Example: http://www.192.168.0.1/ After you get it right you should get a pop up asking for Admin name and pass. Default name could be: admin Default pass could be: admin or password DMZ(Demilitarized Zone) is used to allow a single computer on the LAN to be exposed to the Internet. Firewall Rules Firewall Rules can be used to allow or deny traffic from passing through the router. Filters Filters are used to allow or deny LAN users from accessing the Internet. Special Application Special Application is used to run applications that require multiple connections.

This problem is hard to fix. It is an odd problem. I still get the problem but don't get the problem with ut2k4 or other mods. Another thing, Players can just right click on you're server in the server browser and click on OpenIP and just remove the port if it is in the 60000 or change the port to 7777.

It just isolates your computer, no one else´s.
Of course it´s not a long-term solution since you could basically throw your router away when activating DMZ, since it´s not protecting you anymore. I am using DMZ for my computer, but that´s only because I can´t, for the love of it, get my router to forward ports. Well, sometimes it works, when Mars is in zenith with the Moon and even then it accepts only every third port I want it to forward.
It might be the firmware, but I haven´t gotten around to upgrading it, yet. Anyway, if you´re using DMZ, you should have a software firewall at the ready.

But if YOUR computer gets infected by nastiness, it could spread through the other computers.
DMZ = BAD

My computer and I would fight this infection until we either win or try to take down as many infected files as we could before committing seppuku to retain our honor.
Or it gets infected over night, without me noticing and everything goes down in flames. So yeah, DMZ might be a bad thing.
