This is what I've been working on for the past month for the rpm challenge. Besides some narration, it's instrumental metal. The vocalist got sick the last couple weeks and couldn't manage anything but spitting phlem. The amount of effort everyone put into this was too much to let it go to waste so we're releasing it as is. Working with a live band and live instruments was a new challenge but I'm very satisfied with the result. The production quality of the live instruments (guitars especially) is much better than that done w/ segments from KF. If you're into loud metal w/o vocals then check it out. Might find a place in your 2k4 playlist but be warned, none of these songs are written to loop. Some stuff avail here. Full album and art coming soon.

Myspace can definately be overlooked in this case. You shall listen, not look.
And listening is definately worth it. I liked the whole KF-music so far (yes, I know that rhythm attic was in there somewhere, too) and I really like what you´ve put online so far. I even like the theme. I couldn´t help myself but I to grin all the way through WithoutWarningPeople the moment the narrator started telling the story of the dinosaurs´ heroic fight against the space pirates to prevent their doom device from blowing up the earth ;D How´d they even got there? Why did they want to blow up the earth in the first place ? Will we ever get to know it ? Is it even that important to know about it if the music rocks? ;D
I´ll be watching this space, as suggested, for further releases.

Are you going to be nice and let us download them? My limited knowlodge of myspace, makes the "download" button turn into Quicktime, which I quickly closed the tab, in time, to not have to see the logo...

What's wrong w/ the MySpace page? It's better than 99% of the aneurysm inducing abortion failures there. As I said, "Full album and art coming soon". Maybe tomorrow, we just have to wait. I'm waiting. Until then the album is streamable here. If you want to dl poor quality wma then reg. also includes the "hidden" track (9) minus the 28min of slience in the beginning. Not sure if going to make mp3 avail for this one.

*thumbs up* Downloading as we speak. fucking nice. some moments remind me of tool I wouldn´t say tool, but it reminds me of something One more thing: Really frigging nice of you guys to just distribute this for free. I mean, this really is on one level with most of the stuff they are selling at my local CD store, if not way above.

Some sound as if standard Epic songs. (Just before you shout at me saying that is insulting, I really like the Epic songs...)

lol, I'm not one for stats but it's nice/funny to see a band that no one knew about until a few days ago topping charts in doom metal, grindcore, hard rock, and thrash on a site with a large commercial community to compete with.

Well, I would have paid for it. I was actually convinced you were just advertising and had put up some songs as some sort of promo followed by "Out now!" or something

It wasn't for sale bc I really couldn't see anyone putting much investment into an indie band that had never thrown it's name out, played live or released anything ever. Completely unknown. IHTES was originally conceived as a parody band, which in some ways it still is. Instead of the black metal cliche of fighting norse gods or whatever, fighting dinosaurs Misuse of "cool" characters (Möthership) It's hard to point out more w/o any vocals, but there might come a day. For now I kinda like the idea of the theme being akin to something a five y/o would put on his creative writing assignment. There's another cliche, taking something completely outrageous and unbelievable totally serious. Now more gloating stats from music.download.com's most popular. It's probably got to do with just being released and it'll bottom out in a few weeks so I'm enjoying this while I can (even though I know it's skewed). It was never planned, just a one time thing but in the extremely unlikely event interst continues there many be more IHTES to come.
