Song of Ice and Fire

Has anyone else read these novels by George R. R. Martin? I just realized that there might be some poor deprived individuals out there who might not have realized these exist.

Basically this series ruined fantasy for me. Not a single person I have introduced this series to has not become enthralled by it. It is the most unbelievably epic and intense series I have ever encountered, and is absolutely brutal and unforgiving in its tales. No character is truly good, and none truly evil... in fact, you find yourself changing opinions often.

It's like only seeing Batman Forever and then discovering Batman Begins.

Anyway, yeah, A Game of Thrones, the first, is like $4 at Barnes and Noble... trust me, get through it and see. Figured I had to share this with my beloved forum mates.

Seriously... this series totally ate my life. Used to read other fantasy, like Tolkien, Goodkind (Sword of Truth) and whatnot... but now... man, he just makes everyone else look so bad.
