Reason I post this is because while playing the mod and running out of ammo very fast before reload I wanted to buttstock the enemy but was unable. lol
This was a cool feature in Area51 that I think would be awsome in this game, Doesnt have to do damage just nock the little buggers back a bit for me to switch weapons etc.
I kept trying to nock them down and had nothing to do it with. lol
Anyway I think it would be a great addition.
Also I noticed you used 40rd Mags, Standard issue is 30, unless you want to release a new 85 with a Beta drum? :-))))
Anyway you are very close on the ammo that a standard Marine carries. 13 30rd mags = 390 you use 320 with 40rd mags. I say lower the rounds per mag and increase the overall amount of ammo to 390. then you will be realistic and have more of a challenge between reloads.
P.S. I liked the Dual 9mm's :-)) I only carry one pistol on me, but like the game I have a nasty K-bar.
Also the Sights on the 85 are messed up a bit I cant even see the dot. I'm sure its because its a beta but I thought I would mention just in case.

I know the issue on the standard L85 is 30 rounds, but i upped that to 40 because of the obscenely high ROF on the weapon and it's inaccuracy.
30 was just too small.

Question in the L85 lowend weapon in the game or a more costly one? It should be more expensive more than a double barrel shotgun. Maybe making it more accurate or something to compensate? I think this weapon can do a number on zombies better and faster and farther off than a shotgun. lol
Also if you can use Bullets for the ammo count would be great, the red ones are hard to keep track of since everything is red already.
Also did you consider the F2000 its a weapon I never seen in the games yet, French made awsome looking weapon. Maybe a bonus weapons.
What I would like to see if Options for more weapons like starting with a pistol etc but allowing the player to climb up the ladder without being unrealistic. After all to make a shotgun better than an assault rifle is silly. I know that BMR people are trying to add a few more standard weapons.

You forgot to answer if you liked the Idea of of using the rifle to knock an enemy back? Area51 had this and its a useful FUN feature. natural reaction when ammo is out and they are on top of you is club' em!
Also did you think of adding a tac light fore the L85 and other weapons. Even a taped flashlight would work, I dont know of ANYONE who would go in a dark room without some form of light? Even if Jury Rigged. Something to think about it would add to the game and allow for more darker areas because the player has a light, even a shoulder mounted could work. I know if I was the commander I would have some improvised Lights made for my men.

Huh?
An M4 tactical Shotgun fires wide area 12 gauge buckshot that can rip a human being to shreds.
The Bullpup (or L85A2) is not a particularly powerful gun in real life, however in the game it's far more innaccurate than it would really be, for purposes of gameplay
one of the fixes we are doing though is increased accuracy when you're looking through the scope.

That will work on accuracy. I thought you guys were making the Shotgun a more expensive weapons saying it was better. So that is why I commented on that. The 85 is a goodw weapon and similar to the M4 carbine. The M4 shotgun is ok but the the benelli M1 tactical is better IMO. BTW I have used all the weapons you speak of and if you black someone with a 5.56mm at full auto they will be nocked down. lol
Shotguns are no good after 50yards and best at 25 yards or less.
If you get a chance to play Area51 you'll see how useful that bucktock melee feature would be in your mod. I hope you add it.
As for the tactical lights They would be useful and like I said I dont know of many going in the dark without a Light or NVGs since NVGs would ruin the mood I would say go for the light, as this will allow you some Dark spots. Also I would say make the light an upgrade for cost.

I also have extensive weapons knowledge of how a weapon should feel and what it can do, even against Zombies, since they were once human. lol
