I just saw Crash... which is to racism what Requiem for a Dream was to drug use... I felt like I was getting kicked in the face with the Boot of Equality. Got better near the end though. No way in hell that beat Brokeback for best picture...
On a better note... Pirates 2 in 6 days!!!

Best horror movie I saw in my life, and I'm not kidding, was "The Descent". That's the only movie I've ever heard people screaming at the cinema, male and female. The atmosphere was so intense, you could almost touch it. A few rows in front of me I frequently saw arms whipping in the air and heads twitching behind the seats. I was sitting there with my hands formed to a funnel, covering my mouth and my nose, mumbling "shit...oh my god..." and things Very recommended and you'll miss something in your life, if you're not going to watch it.

Everyone has different reactions on movies and tastes are different. I admit, many movies wouldn't be as good on TV as they would in the cinema, because of the atmosphere and the sound system is a lot different.

Alien and Aliens are both utter masterpieces... Seven Samurai is definately amazing, I've watched it to death in nearly all of my samurai history courses in college though. Casshern was good? I never got to see it... totally blew my mind when I saw the poster for it in Japan... I was like "Hey, they're making a movie after that anime about Quick Man!" Just saw 16 Blocks and Running Scared... both were decent crime/action flicks. OMG, I almost forgot! OLDBOY! If anyone has NOT seen this movie, DO IT... best revenge plot EVER since Cartman and his chili.
