Fine, here's a personal overview of Elfen Lied:
It has ALOT of death, ALOT of boobs and alot of weird ass moments.
Other than that, it's an anime you'd think kids would love. Untill the main character switches personality and uses her vectors to stomp some shit.

Resident Evil 4 was amazing. no probs w/ that. Metroid prime 2 maybe... er... You don't get many truly great games on the GC. Hopefully the wii will change that.

Resident Evil Remake Metroid Prime Metroid Prime 2
Only games I can think of that were ONLY on the GC.
That's the sad part.

It's just struck me - for better or worse, Nintendo have certainly gained a lot of publicity from the new name. There can't be many gamers unaware of the new console now The big question is - was it worth it?

Sure nintendo has gained a lot of publicity, but only people mocking it. Nobody wants to be put in the hall of fame as the worst baseball player ever; people will be talking about you, just negatively. I know for a fact a number of my friends who were going to buy the revolution have decided against it just because they'd be embarrassed about telling their friends they were playing with their WII all weekend.

Lets see...RE4 was a GC exclusive for about a year, but then it came out on the ps2(supposedly the controls were much better on the GC), of course there was katamari damacy and we love katamari(doesn't matter if you don't actually love katamari, that was the name of the sequal), games that I can only assume were thought up during the world's largest weed party. There was, of course, mario sunshine and the two or three star foxes that everyone hated. Hmm...F-0 GX was a GC exclusive but nobody has ever bought or heard of that game. I remember from launch there was smash bros melee, which is just about the only game I still play on that. Then there was that one where you crash land your spaceship and have to grow these little plant aliens to help you gather the pieces of your ship and rebuild it(Can't think of the name atm). Hmm...I think I remember a harvest moon game? Maybe not.
Oh, and last year they released Geist, which was the shittiest game that had the best concept ever. You were supposed to be a ghost, possessing things to scare people and posses them. In reality, the possessions were extremely linear(you always had to posses what they wanted you to posses, in the order they wanted you to do it in), The voice acting was...bad, and it had the worst shooter elements I've ever seen in a game ever, including doom and wolfenstein. Basically, every bullet hits you. I've seen a guy shoot while pointing at least 60 degrees away from me. The bullet hit me. Anyway, as I said earlier, good concept; execution needed work. There were a ton of little games that very few people ever heard of, such as lost kingdoms, which was the quintessence of the mediocre game, and baten kaidos, which was the liberitarian of the Japanese rpg; it had the extreme good and extreme bad parts(sounded like the characters were talking through really long cardboard tubes).
Sometimes they got a gem, though. Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. That was everything that was good about the first two metal gear games blended together into one of the best games I've ever played, ever. They've gotten a reputation for producing kiddy and weird games, unfortunately, and most mature games on the cube ended up falling short.
(Just realized I was talking about every game I could think of that was a GC exclusive, not just ones that didn't suck. For the didn't suck pile...well they're the ones I didn't mock. Apparently Katamari Damacy is fun when drunk, but I've never been drunk enough that I wanted to play it).

Super smash bros. melee.
Pikmin 1+2 (ok so not exactly for everyone, but if you liked it, it was great).
Wave race blue storm
Super mario sunshine
Luigi's mansion
F-zero GX
Mario Kart DD(!!)
Donkey kong: Jungle Beat
Metriod Prime 1+2
Zelda WW
I think thats all of them (IMO decent GC exclusives).
Hm.. not very 'adult', which puts a load of people off... which is a shame, because many of these are awesome games, youv'e just got to give tham a try.
Now let's turn to the poorly-named wii. It seems nintendo decided to have a field day with the weird names here, because the games have strange titles too.
I can't remember too many, but:
Super mario galaxy
wii sports (surley action sports or something would have been better).
Err.. I can remember any more. Will post if can. How about some massivley overrated games. anyone?
Off the top of my head, FIFA and MGS.

Don't forget guitar hero...everyone liked that, apparently. And wii sports? What the hell?! I liked MGS as it had among the best control schemes I've ever seen in a game of any genre. You were only limited to what you could come up with to take out your enemies. On the other hand, they had too. Many. Cutscenes. Anyway, massively overrated games? Halo! Halo is a mediocre shooter at best; the action is too slow, the stealth is nearly non existant, the character is too slow, etc. Multiplayer is like a slower paced UT2K4 with fewer vehicles. Oh, and the story sucks. It may have looked good on paper, but the way it was presented I honestly didn't give a fuck whether the universe was destroyed or not. I have <no> idea why everyone loved this game. Oh, and reusing areas? While it may make sense on a mass produced alien disc thing, nobody wants to go through identical room after identical room; its too easy to get lost when they make their areas like that. I've played single player MODS that take the time to make each and every room unique, and they aren't getting paid for it. Seriously, way to be lazy bungee.

IDK about halo... At the time, everyone said 'OMG best game ever!!!11' but I never played it. Now, when I do come to play it, I think it's great fun. But no, It's not the best game ever. Fun, original in places, but yep it does have the mind numbing repetition zones... hardly ground breaking. MGS. I had fun playing it, but it just seemed too awkward for me. Not at all a bad game, just not really my type I suppose. I don't think you can call it the best game ever though as some people do. Other overrated games:- Killzone, GTA & FIFA.

Killzone? Overrated? Yeah right.
People say Killzone sucks, but personally I disagree. I think Killzone is really fun. Sure the death sounds is the same one over and over, but for me it always brings a laugh. Especially fun with the grenades.
Like one time I'm running towards cover, and I see guys on a stand above me. So I look up, prep a grenade. And then, when I throw it. It hit a guy in the head, and he took damage and then it exploded. It was so awesome.

Killzone was a great concept, if the characters were ripped out of Jin Roh... I have to disagree with the Halo sucks thing... I never played Xbox for the longest time, and eventually got it for Ninja Gaiden (which is like an orgasm at 200 mph), and then picked up Halo for a lan party... and I love it. Sure, it's repetative, but no other game made NPCs as viable as that one did. The marines worked great into the universe... and if the levels got a bit dull, the last one made up for it... probably the most exciting thing ever.. and it was so much better coop. Not the best shooter, but definately fun.
Can you imagine if they port Nintendogs to the Wii? Would it be called Wii Doggies?
