Out of suspicion i just made some test level (a box ) and it had exact the same problem. Made another test level box anew, had the bug again. I dont know if this is good or bad, i mean i made the KFgametype settings in the level-properties, so what else is there to do wrong? Or is my installation just borked?

Kinda tempted to make an open beta to see if other people have the bug when playing the map too, but i have bad experiences with open betas

Odd...The problem resolved for me when I started a new map.

I really don't know what to say...


one thing to keep in mind though.

If you are manually scaling the brush tool to make your box and lets say you scale it really thin and then continue scaling so that the box sort of ...inverts in thickness (hard to explain but it's easy to do and I hope you know what I mean)

then you will have a corrupt space when you build the Brush...

Hm no, didnt do anything like that (scaling the builder-brush = teh evil anyway ).

I really wonder if its some scripting thingie, i mean why does the shotgun work normally? Strange bug that.

Ill do a reinstall tomorrow, just in case

Made a complete swipe (Ut2004, Patches, Pack, KF new), problems still there. In every test-map i made the weapons had the borked range, except for the shotguns and the LAW. Seems i gotta lay my map on ice "until further notice". And i was almost finished :/

I wasn't sure if anyone mentioned this (this forum is so friggin long with redundancies that I couldn't bare to read anymore at page 6 (not your fault)) Anyway in single player I was playing im pretty sure I got the right version KFsetup.exe. I got the axe and went to break some glass shards and couldn't blah blah. Biggest problem I had was that the character kept swivling around at random. I'd go up to the door get the message door is jammed and all of a sudden the char gets a mind of its own and spazzes out and turns around in some random direction. thats all otherwise the game kicks ass and the creepyness rivals F.E.A.R. =D

I have a solution to the nerfed range glitch on custom maps, and that is to add distance fog. None of the maps I made worked until I added fog, and when I put it in, they worked fine. I hope this fixes your map.

I never had distance fog in the map except very early cant tell anymore if that had any influence

And i probably never will be able to, since fate obviously didnt want this map to be released. Just around the 17th my computer died on me and took all with him, Textures, Meshes everything. The good side, since my birthday is near and i had just about enuff money i went out and got me some Killer system, but the map is gone

And after being kicked in the nuts twice, first by the KFUed, then by my own PC im not too motivated anymore to start everything from scratch

id like to tell you all , my pc got hacked recently i will be on hitause, do not accept anything from me on msn,

its a realy bad virus i just managed to kill and get my pc stable enough.

last bug thread was turning into how useless people are at video games ... now its that the ed doesnt work what next...kf turning into teletubbies and vice versa.

while playing this most awesome game online, i found a glitch concerning the weapons locker. If you sell something, then buy something all is well, EXCEPT if you then press cancel you dont have your new weapon OR the old weapon and your cash has been depleted to the amount you had left when after you bought your new weapon.
