Worse than Cheaters :o

Me I love glitches, but the other night on a server five of us met something worse than a glitcher / cheater and we couldn't kick him / her -- Whou -- Zwhou or something was its name. After calling him / her, we all had to leave the game because it was screwed.

Whoever, blocked the trader entrance at every wave -- welded doors so people died. Whou -- whoever was just a total pain, so yeah, we 5 all left the server and that was that.

Contact the server admin privately, put up with it, go to another server. This is just as bad as the other thread

As Admin of the Hedsteem KF, I have read all your rants and raves about the map glitches and honestly I have most of my mapping people working on the maps to solve some of this, which after properly tested I will release to you guys. I downloaded the X-Map pack and honestly 90% of the maps are poorly done, causing server crashes, infinite loops or just plain locking the webadmin. I have NickQ, DENN, Izzy, and Rumple from my community working on this. I will be adding the Fixed maps to my server sometime on the 2nd On January. I would appreciate any feedback in another topic that you have. If you have absolute proof someone is tryin to ruin your gaming experience (DEMO RECORD) then please by all means send it to me or NICKQ.

Map fixes? Does this mean all official maps are being fixed by you? If so then wont this cause alot of problems? I mean, yeah it sounds cool and all but the fact that there will be the official 2.11 maps and now yours will cause endless problems for ppl connecting to various servers>?

No, the maps will be renamed, thus no mismatches, and they'll be easily downloaded from the server as well.

If major fixes are being done to the official maps, please compile a list with the changes somewhere.

Thanks for the strong words regarding the idiot who ruined our game. I'll / or someone will surely let you know if we get a repeat of the problem, but it has only happened the once. KF is pretty good and there's usually a great team of people cooperating.

Be a pity if glitches were fixed if indeed they can be. I'd say 'advantage' is a fairer term than glitch. The positive slant is that it gives noobs confidence and experience with later waves -- there's the tactics and familiarization with weapons as well.

I understand glitches is a different question to changing maps so that they work online. With KF-Infiltrate I payed less attention to the online logs when I tested it, thinking it would never be played online due to the HUB. But seems other servers are popping up. New players drop in regularly, 9 out of 10 has positive comments re online play / teamwork in KF.

I have to say I agree with Seras Victoria - exploits ruin the atmosphere, imagine watching a movie and one of the commandos suddely floats off the floor for no reason.

I ran into whou on Geisterbahn just then - pretty much with the same behaviour as in the game with Asnipe. So I think it's pretty safe to say it wasn't just a one-off thing. I don't have "absolute proof," though.
On the plus side, this is the first time I've run into a bad player on KF. Maybe it's the relatively small userbase, but everyone's been amazingly helpful so far. =P

The good news is that KF hasnt suffered from bad "annoying" Players so far, I put this down to the community we have. Yes KF is awesome, but at the sametime it doesnt hold the same community numbers as Counter Strike, this means there are far less players, which in turn makes less annoying players.

Every so often they do crop up though. Its kind of like when you're playing a competitive game of say DODS, some idiot will join and just run around causing havok! He will shoot his/her own team mates, not follow orders etc etc, and pretty much pisses everyone off.

I've seen other players like this on KF before, like the others he/her will most likely dissapear in the coming weeks once they get bored, they always do. Just like Maul said, imagine watching a movie where marines glitched to win, eventually it would get boring, well I assume it would!

Well image watching a bunch of guys standing in mid air for two hours shooting things... Yeah, for any dickhead who says " THAT WOULD BE MAAAD!!!" go shoot yourself in the face, the only thing that makes killing exciting is if your own life is in danger, survival of the fittest.
If you are too scared to have monsters being able to get you go play something other than Survival horror. I mean jeez.

hehe,i was playing on the german server (yes i cant spell it -.-,SO?) and i ran into jetboom,he was the exact same as him,it might even of been him ,so watch out for jetboom
