this means easy to install whatever this is (for me its: copy this 2.5 folder to your ut2004 directory, doubleclick the KF25.bat, have fun) Well, it is.

i am really exited ;D i m looking forward to it. all Killingfloor needs now are players! but how to get them? the new kf 2.5 has to be EASY TO SWALLOW. this means easy to install whatever this is (for me its: copy this 2.5 folder to your ut2004 directory, doubleclick the KF25.bat, have fun) easy to use bot-support a good netcode. i read many threads i the past of peps that cant connect. i think thats a real showstopper. and maybe chicken-rib-combo breaks the seal and joins with his awesome ooh-maps the kf projekt. I find another show stopper is the servers with custom maps. Its ok if its like Gibberstein and it downloads ingame quickly, but for all the others, no one (including me) wants to download a huge wad of 20 maps just to join a server, especially if your new to the game.. The offical maps are the only ones I'm interested in playing anyways, but thats my opinion. I think this is the only mod/game I've seen where the majority of the maps being played are custom, and that just stinks.

The offical maps are the only ones I'm interested in playing anyways, but thats my opinion. EXACTLY what I think! Custom maps usually means lower chance of survival and less fun than the original maps as you have to learn on the fly. But most people just think your a big meanie that isin't open to change, and stereotype custom maps as the crappy INV RPG kind with names like DM- {INV RPG v2.3}ReVaMpEdDeemersRoomofPwnagev333.2 And maybe I am! But it doesn't mean I should put up with your views >: ( ...Yeh, the hot chocolate is soo....good.

Woah, took me a while to read through all this.. Soz if i can't remember who posted what lol, but im new to these forums. @alex: Glad you have came back to do this. This looks like it will be absolutely awesome. I think i can guess what would be a good ending for the storyline, or at leaast i think i know what direction you are going to take from reading the backgrounds on the zombies. If it's what i think it is (which i won't say here lest i spoil anything for anything) then that's awesome. Storyline will be sick, but the comradery of online wave games is still friggin awesome, flamers sick.. @whoever suggested no merchant: NO. The merchant is awesome, i would hate to be stuck with the same weapon all game. I love the ability to switch around, and i would hate it if this changed. The whole point for me is to be able to run around like a fool with an axe for the first 3 waves or so, then grab winchy/hunty or whatever. Then when the FP's come i like to grab a LAW and 9 nades (be the demolitions guy xD). Choosing your class at the start would be pointless, sorry. PS: Alex: I am more than willing to beta test, if you need someone that has access to a server (ie me)

Uh I think you misunderstand what Story-mode actually is. its not an actual Single-Player style Story with sequential missions. This is a new gametype. Think Assault for Vanilla UT2K4, how they re-create events that have passed in wars and such...well that is how Story-mode will work. At least, thats how Alex explained it

Ah its an easy mistake to make - A campaign would be cool though. However TIME CONSUMING to construct. Good to see another Australian gamer though - I'm from OZ myself and have been rather let down by the lack of servers whenever I attempted to go on. That was generally the only issue I had with the game - I play it alot of the time offline or at LAN (with a group of people who are more into crap like DOTA Warcraft 3 and freaking Counter-Strike). So usually we only do one match of KF and thats it. It suxors. Anyways...

Don't worry, just keep delaying KF 2.5 till ut3 is out. Watch and be amazed.*Loves the idea of UnrealKismet*

Cutting it alittle close, especially since a post for Coding help was added 3 days ago. Beta testing can take another week. Unless he decides to postpone Depth or cut some stuff and throw it out on the last day, I don't know how its going to get done on time. I certainly hope its one or the other.

I didn't know Depth was 99% complete. Hehe. Neither did I cool! I dont know what's going to happen when UT3 comes out. At worst (for you guys) I get sucked in immediately and completely neglect killing floor for ever and ever. At best, I ignore it for a few weeks to hammer out the patch, and then start experimenting. But if life has taught me anything, it's that the reality of the situation is a line of best fit between all the best and worst case scenarios in your head, so i would have to assume that I will be far more pre-occupied than I was, but that Killing Floor will still be a priority. Regardless of the outcome, i reckon this is one of them situations where staying on topic, and ignoring the future is best for all concerned! SO killing floor blabber ahoy! Yay

If UT3 is exciting then sex is the most boring thing in the universe.
