My single player strategy is to die a horrible death repeatedly.
So far, I'm at a 100% success rate(mo' like SUCKess rate).

Thing is, you can´t get much further on your own without cheating once fleshpounds show up. Usually you´ll go with Shotgun+Hunting Shotgun, Winchester+Crossbow or Winchester+Shotgun by then.
Shotgun+Hunting Shotgun will let you end up killed by or with help of the sirens, Winchester+Crossbow will get you mauled by the fleshpounds and Winchester+Shotgun has varieing endings but it will also get you killed.And don´t even think of the LAW now, you won´t have enough ammo and/or the sirens will kill you.
But this is the point where you might think of trying it out together with other people, you know, combining different sets of weapons and stuff. This is actually the whole point of it, but who am I lecturing.

6 players with Xbows, HS's etc.

shotie hunt armor and nades brought me to wawe 8 on skilled westlondon but i always camped at the gate.
Every time i tried running and gunning i got pwned so how am i supposed to evade the masses?
ps the axe is really fun till sirens just try it and get addicted

yeah i agreed at that west london gate alone. Specimens come from left , middle and right. Got enough room to back ward...
That will get u through a few waves alone.

go get biggest gun you can afford, and make a run route, make shure the route goes over a place where weapons and ammo spawn.

loool and then get raped cause you cant kill the bloats/gorefasts/fps fast enough and have to retreat backwards, and guess whos waiting behind you...
ps you cant strafe them properly so that isnt a way either
pps the biggest gun you can easily afford by wawe 2 is a law...
