There's a difference between a noob and a noob... There's the kind of noob that can become a good and respected player if they keep playing, and you should support them. But there's also the kind of noob that acts like this "OMG WTF THIS GAME SUCKS. I DONT HAVE A CROSSHAIR!!1 I CANT AIM FOR SHIT, WHERE CAN I GET AN AIMBOT?", and it's ok to flame those.

Technically Butcher, you don't aim by moving the mouse around, you move your players field of view by moving the mouse around, you aim by placing your target directly in the very middle of your player's field of view. Just moving the mouse around just causes your guy to turn.

Answer me this: what FPS, in the history of video games, has EVER come out without a way to aim the gun?? I said in my original post, not having a cross hair is a good thing. But if you are going to do that, not having iron sights is fucking retarded. You might as well name it "Inner city shootup simulator 2.0" and have all avatars hold their gun sideways.

Uhh...right. Well, there is Air Buccaneers for ut2004, NO Crosshair, nobody ever complained, there is Gears Of War(If you not aiming) and nobody ever asked them to put aiming on at all times.

Removing the crosshair makes the mod more innovative and harder to be good at. If we added a crosshair, what would be the point in having the Winchester, when a bullpup could do EVERYTHING? We have supplied Iron Sights in The Winchester, so if you are really that pathetic that you can't take a mod without a crosshair, use it!

This mod was made free of charge, You have freedom of speech, but in the end, can you really Complain about a small download, that can easily be uninstalled if you don't like it?

Think about it., then come back with reasonable information on how this mod sucks and how a crosshair is so desperatly needed.

TBH, the guy has a point about your attitudes. It's not really acceptable to behave like that. You act like children

But, equally, he needs to open his mind more. It takes practice to learn to hit zeds at a distance with non-scoped weaps, but it is possible with some practice. Alternativley, you could just use the shotgun at close range. I find if you draw invisible lines from the halfway point of the sides of your screen that cross in the middle, you get a decent idea of where it will hit.

Do as you please then.

Aiming is abit tricky for beginners (and with the new patch im afraid it may only get worse ) But that having been said, there are certain weapons like the Winchester and Crossbow that have visual aim helpers, and outside of that, aiming is merely a matter of "feeling out" your shots. There's no 100% way to always be accurate.

The no Xhairs thing came from my frustration with FPS shooters and the fact that gameplay more or less degenerated into "put the sprite on the baddy, pull the trigger". I find the absent crosshair makes things abit more visceral .

And yes, it can be frustrating or anxiety inducing if its your first time playing KF . Just keep at it and you'll wonder why you ever needed crosshairs in the other games you play
