I also talked to Faust, and we both agree'd on that I will be taking a position as a Static mesh modeller, aswell as a weapon modeller(If never needed) once I learn how to use 3ds max, which I'm guessing wont take long as I learn very quickly about things I'm interested in.(Gonna start tomarrow)
I'm sure I'll also be able to UV map them somepoint in the future...

Awesome... so why were we worried? I'm damned impressed at the response... everyone who just volunteered should feel proud... (and anyone else who volunteers after this post... not to exclude or make it awkward for them... lol) Faust, let's compile who we're going to have and a job list and we'll talk about what we're going to do. I gotta go for now though.

Yep, it's good that we have alot of people willing to help. Now, we just have to see if they are qualified. Also, can someone unsticky all of those threads at the top we don't use anymore? It's getting pretty messy..

I'm still a dedicated tester and I'm learning a lot of mapping from my boyfriend. I'll do whatever I can to help

Lara, I'll make plenty use of you too, worry not! The mapping for SP, when it gets off the ground, is going to need a LOT of map talent.

I'm in, I can do SOME 3D modeling, still learning, but I got the hang of it pretty well pretty quickly After only three tutorials and four days of fiddling www.mustangmods.com/ims/u/2870/6010/97875.jpgI know it sucks, but it shows that I at least know the Maya, also, I can map but you already have a bunch of better mappers.

Hey, it's better than me - I couldn't possibly learn something so quickly.

That's not too bad, you know how to do it. Bear in mind that most of the time, meshes in maps aren't that much more complicated than that, so your'e ok unless your'e doing something like a weapon mesh.

It's all down to the textures my man, good job, don't put yourself down. You WANT a simple model... less stress on the client.

I can map, provided we have some people to help out with models and texture work. I can also start learning coding, and modelling. If you need concept artists for certain things, I can probably help out. Concept art I did for a monster thing I thought up: img170.imageshack.us/img170/6278/monsterconceptzz0.jpgOh, and I can also help Usawa out with story concepts and flow.

F'ed up monster Dastard. Whoever I decide on for the SP campaign team will be helping out with the story. I'll probably map out the majority of it, to keep it actually going instead of bogged down by arguements, but everyone's input will be much appreciated.
EDIT: We also need people who can skin... anyone who's willing to try that on?

I wish I had some kind of base coding skills and what not, but if you all are in need for SP beta testers, to get the feel and flow down between maps, and how the storyline meshes, I'd be glad to help out in any way that my skills will allow.
*sigh* even with gettin a masters in math, I couldn't code a simple craps game that did saves for the life of me. All I'd be good for would be beta testing, and if you were wanting to amp up some of the realism, I could crunch some numbers to give somewhat realistic physics to the weapons (ie power of shots on contact). Anything you need me for, I'd be glad to do, but I am definitely interested in helping with the beta on the single player campaign.

Well, getting to know code is easy enough, if you looked around you could find some tuts for yourself. wiki.beyondunreal.com/ has a decent page on a sort of "My first mutator" project for beginners, so you could look around on there.

I know im not helping much, but Dastard lets not turn this into Silent Hill?
