Yeah WSAD is just.... wrong. I can't understand why people like it. I use Num 0 for reload and Num 1 for grenade lob, and SPACE (another massive key, hehe) for voice menu BTW. I know this guy (Big_mac, if you've seen him playing KF) who has a huge delete key. It's great to press.

WASD is like the choice for every major FPS competitor since Quake 1... You have ~ through 5 on the top row, tab through T on the second, Caps through G on the third, shift through V on the second to last and Ctl Alt and Space at the bottom. That's 26 keys within comfortable reaching distance to map. If you map shift or ctrl to crouch, space to jump... your fingers never have to move in combat.

I guess arrow keys are ok though... FOR WOLFENSTEIN 3D!

If you ask me the main problems with arrow keys instead of WASD are as follows:
You can't turn around as fast with the arrow keys as you can with a mouse.
You can't look up or down easily using the arrow keys, so anything other than a flat playing field will be difficult.
You can't sidestep easily, and its easy to screw up when you have movement keys you hit with both hands.

I don't use arrow keys for turning.... that's so doom 1. Arrow keys are move and strafe, mouse is look, ctrl is jump, shift is crouch, enter use, num 0 reload and num 1 grenade. That's all I need.
