in was wondering if u can bind keys it would be great to just hit a key and it says help me wled the door or behind us so if anyone knows anything let me know Open your KFMod20User.ini in your UT2004/KFMod/System Folder. In the section [Engine.Input] are your current keybindings. Here's an example of my current ones: [...]A=StrafeLeft B=SwitchToLastWeapon C=Duck D=StrafeRight E=Use F=SwitchWeapon 1 G=SwitchToBestWeapon H= I=ToggleTeamChat j=Taunt pthrust K=Taunt asssmack L=Taunt throatcut M=BasePath 0 N=BasePath 1 O=ToggleLocalChat P=TogglePublicChat Q=TeamSay « FîR3 îñ th3 Høl3 » | ThrowGrenade R=ReloadMeNow | onrelease finishreloading S=MoveBackward T=Talk U=Use V=SpeechMenuToggle W=MoveForward X=ShowVoteMenu Y=writetolog Z=Strafe Alt= Attn= Backslash=TeamSay Tâkê thât wêâpøñ (%w) | ThrowWeapon Backspace=Jump[...]As you probably noticed, the command "TeamSay" stands for writing in Teamchat. If you want to write it in open chat, just write "Say" instead of "TeamSay". To combine 2 or more commands, you have to put that sign, between the commands: "|" for example: Q=TeamSay « FîR3 îñ th3 Høl3 » | ThrowGrenade this will make your character say « FîR3 îñ th3 Høl3 » in teamchat and throw a nade at the same time. By the way: (%w) Is kinda Shortcut, to let the System say, what weapon youre wearing atm. for example: Backslash=TeamSay Tâkê thât wêâpøñ (%w) | ThrowWeapon Will let my character say in Teamchat: "Tâkê thât wêâpøñ (Handcannon)" before he drops it, so that everyone knows, what weapon was dropped. I hope I was able to help with that

Sure, its okay too... but it's not my style. I mean, do you think that I still got the Flakcannon (In UT) binded to 7? *lolz*
Its just some basic knowledge for that guy, so that he'll be able to configure what he want, to wherever he want it ... And IMO, it's good to know, when for example a nade was thrown on a server with FF 100%.

Nice informative post sonix, that would make a good addition to the wiki. There are a couple more of the % commands.I used them all the time when i played AA:spec ops. Not sure if I remember these right but I believe they are %l (location) %h (health) %a (ammo left) %s (score) and maybe %p (ping). If any of them are wrong feel free to correct me or add any others that yall might know.

yea, it's like I said before ... lets make an example again. Open your KFMod20User.ini again in the section [Engine.Input] you'll find this binding:
5=ShoutMedic
"5" stands for the button, where the command is binded to. ShoutMedic is the KFMod-Command for: "TeamSay <text> | Soundmessage". So, to have your own binding there, you have to change it like this:
5=Say I need a Medic!
or if you just want to say that in Teamchat:
5=TeamSay I need a Medic
If you want to tell people about the ammount of kevlar Vest and health of you:
5=TeamSay I've got %h and %s left Please heal me!
(I should've mentioned this one before: If you use shortcuts, like %h,%s,%<whatever> you have to use 'em in "TeamSay" - They doesn't work in normal chat - there they appear just as they are inputed by you). (If I can speak truly to you: I didn't test it till now, if the shortcuts are possible in Killing Floor, so I dunno if they'll work^^).
%h stands for Health %s stands for Shield %w stands for Weapon %a stands for Adrenalin %L stands for Location ...as far as I know it from UT2k4

My 1234567890 speech binds and voice menu don't work. I hit the button for speech menu, and a tiny bar appears, but there are no options. If I hit a number, my guy shouts (in the default UT male voice, nach) 'THE BASE IS UNDEFENDED!'. This is reguardless of numbers. So I get attacked by zeds plying over LAN w/ my bro, and I mash the keypad. Doyora: The base is undefended! Senor Tom: wot Doyora: The base is undefended! Senor Tom: hlp me pls Doyora: The base is undefended! Senor Tom: Cover me while I weld this bloody door shut! Senor Tom: I need medical attention, mate *Senor Tom dies* Doyora: The base is undefended! Doyora: The base is undefended! *Doyora dies* Doyora: wtf Doyora: Doyora:'

I've got some new bindings (extra made for KF). Someone who didn't knew about, how to bind in the "KFMod20User.ini" can get some examples by this, and maybe some expirienced users some ideas for their own bindings: F=SwitchWeapon 1 | onrelease SwitchToLastWeapon- This one is easy to explain: "Weapon 1" is your knife. As all should know: With your knife you're faster, than with any other Weapon selected. That Binding makes you switch to your knife, as long as you hold down "F" Key and when you release your finger from the button, it switches back to your last selected weapon. Q=TeamSay « FîR3 îñ th3 Høl3 » | ThrowGrenade- That you know already from above in that topic, so I don't need to explain it more i think. Backslash=TeamSay « Tâkê t3h %w, I døñ't nê3D ît! » | ThrowWeapon- Ok, this one was explained too above. On pressing Backslash, your character will write the following in Teamchat: « Tâkê t3h Handcannon, I døñ't nê3D ît! » %w stand as a shortcut for the weapon you're wearing atm. Tested it, works fine in KF with the following Shortcuts: %h stands for Health %s stands for Shield %w stands for Weapon %a stands for Adrenalin (Always shows "0 Adrenalin") %L stands for LocationTab=adminlogin <Password>- This one is for serveradmins only ~ As you can probably see, it'll log you in as a serveradmin on your server with only 1 button. =adminlogout- I dont got that one binded, but as you see it will log you out again. NumPad7=TeamSay « NeêD SûpPørt ât %l » | speech OTHER 6 NumPad8=TeamSay « âT M3dîç: %h and %s l3ft! » | speech OTHER 30 NumPad9=TeamSay « Døor is âT 50%! » | speech OTHER 20 NumPad6=TeamSay « Tâkê Pøîñt BRAVO (Back door) » | speech OTHER 29 NumPad5=TeamSay « IñçømmîñG! (%l) » | speech OTHER 14 NumPad4=TeamSay « Tâkê Pøîñt ALPHA (Front door) » | speech OTHER 28 NumPad0=TeamSay « Nîc3! » | speech OTHER 31- My NumPad bindings ... IMO more usefull than the normal KF-TeamSay-Bindings atm. The "speech OTHER <Number>" thingy is nothing more than an official character-soundfile, the game is playing to all my teammates, after my character wrote the text before. All sounds match with the chatwritings. ... Well thats all for now. Later I'll post, how Aliases work, if no one else will do till than. So have a good time and fun by creating your own bindings
