Kno, can U eleborate more on this NAT/UT2004 router problem? I have been testing dedicated server myself and experienced some problems myself, my server was listed but N/A on pingtime, whereas on a listen server its fine!
Is there a link or tech page that you could post from EPIC/Atari?
Cheers man

Sure AG, I'll try and wrap it up in a nutshell for ya. When some routers send the auth request to the UT master server they kick it out on a random port. Now instead of looking at the info in the request (your ip addy and game port, usually 7777) the master server just takes that random port and assigns it to your game server as it's game port. So when someone tries to connect using the ingame browser, their pc uses the wrong info from the master server and sends a request to connect to the wrong port. That request gets dropped because the random port isn't being forwarded by the router back to your game server. Because some of the info that is shown in the ingame browser is picked up from your servers heartbeat (which gives out the correct information), it shows the ip as XX.XX.XX.XX:7777. But if you add the server to your fav list and then check what port is showing there it will come up as having a different port #. a.k.a. the random one your router used to send the original request. Also, If you happen to be using third party progies like xfire and gamspy, it'll let you connect to the server without a hitch. They skip the masterserver list and go straight to your servers heartbeat to collect the connection info. Keep in mind that this is just what i remember of the "NAT bug" info i picked up over last weekend. So i might have gotten one or two things wrong. Just in case I did check out this thread on the atari forums for a more in depth and technical explanation. Btw, I have no clue at all if the "NAT bug" prob only effects the dedicated servers or whether or not listens get hit with it too. So you might want to check out www.unrealadmin.org and read through their wiki's dedicated server tut in case it is something else. Hope that helps man, -Kno

I don't even see it in the KF browser. What's the IP?

You can change your name when you´re connecting to a server. Quick Connect: Simply choose a nickname, any nickname. Connect: Local Adressbook --> Servers --> Servername --> choose a nickname, any nickname, on the right side. Login Names and the password are for (server side-)registered users. They have privileges ranging from channel admin to network admin (or what´s it called). Either have Kno give you some admin powers or deal with it that you have none (at least on that kind of server) .

Excellent, TeamSpeak is an awesome program, I use this as my VOIP app at my LAN parties. Its a very low resource using app, yet sound quality and ease of use is unbelievable.
When I get my ADSL connection sorted out I will look into hosting a KF server, I currently have a TS server running.
I assume the IP address for TS is the same as the KF server?

I might check this out then, a TS server where people other than me, Grim and Uwasa actually have mics sounds like a good idea.
