The bunker idea might be neat, especially in the vein of AvP 1... spawn outside, have to weld it shut... need to unweld for anyone who dies... I mean, move the merchant elsewhere, make it SOMEWHAT possible for them to get inside... make it a long run to the bunker... might be intriguing.

Have a few broken walls, giving them access inside.

Ued is the most depressing map editor I've come across.
Mainly because of its habit of crashing whenever it feels like.

I always hear people talking about how Ued is always crashing, I don't know what you guys do in it but it never really crashes for me unless those rare times when I'm trying something crazy that I know probably shouldn't be done. The only time it really happens is when I switch between maps 2 or 3 times in the KFUed(never happens in 2k4 editor). I also have the habit of saving after every little thing I do, then backing up my map when its getting around completed, thats always good to do.

Yeah, it rarely crashes on me unless I get up to doing several complicated things at once. Usually I take my time and do one thing at a time though. Kinda counterproductive, however.

One of the golden rules of UED mapping is to always create a new blank map between opening two different maps.
Loading one from the other directly can often cause CTDs

OK, I'm messing around making SP maps, but I have a problem. Whenever I start my new map, I begin with a bullpup, a shotgun, an axe, a handcannon and the single 9mm. No matter what I do, this always happens. Why? All I want at the start is the default 9mm...

You probably didn't set the gametype to KFmod.KFSPGameType in the levelinfo rollout for your map.

I'm working on a UBER CREEPY Urban area for Single Player. You start in a very dark Trainstation, take the train to the other side, go through almost entire trainstation, then to the urban where it becomes free roam.
I just spooked myself while testing it...

No, I did that, but it still doesn't work. I think perhaps that the resumegame file is interferring somehow, because I have those weaps on my sp save.

Yeah most of this is inspired by the Silent Hill Series (I never actually finished any of them, maybe it's because of the trama of trying one when I was younger) Anyhow, I'm thinking of involving coop play, up to maybe 4 people. I warn you the game is VERY VERY Dark, so you'll need a Pistol with the flashlight mounted meaning I have to put one for pick up if I do coop.
