nice tat. I´m actually thinking about getting one myself. No band names or logos, though, just a reaper.

Thanks. It was a toss-up between that one, and one of me dressed up as a sailor. And unless Alex has drastically changed this mod's theme in the last half an hour, i though this one would be more relevant.

Ive got a dragon on my other shoulder, and ill probably get something on my back this christmas when im back in my home town. Best advice i can give is find a reputable artist. The one who did mine was a really nice guy, he wanted me to love the tattoos i got on me, rather than just make some money. A good artist will advise you on which designs look best where, whether or not a particular design is quite right for you, and most importantly - be good at what he/she does. Word of mouth and examples of their work are essential. Theyre addictive as hell mind, i wanted one done straight away after my first one

Nope, would be my first one but a friend of mine has about six right now and he gave me the same advices you did. That I should look out for an artist, not a money maker, someone who actually enjoys what he or she is doing and not someone who does it for the money.
However, tattoos are a permanent thing and I´m having second thoughts ;D. What if he does it wrong? (Don´t want to have a pink eagle on my back or something) Or what if he does it right but a couple of years later I´m looking at it and think "Why the hell did I get this again?"
I´ll wait some more. If I´m absolutely sure about the form and the wording, I´ll get it. If I´m unsure, I won´t.

Where are you planning to get it?
I have one on my chest and the ink ran out a bit because it was a hard place to keep covered.

Blue, if you're worried about your first tattoo, you should get some thing less detailed, and less opinion driven. Like, instead of a Reaper, get a giant heart with your mother's name in the middle of it. You'll never regret that one.

Apparantly the bottom of the foot is the most painful place to get it. Some tattoists will even give you the tattoo for free if you can stand it all the way through.

You think that's bad?
I was at a bar the other day, and a girl offered to buy me a drink. I looked up, and she had a dragon tatoo. ON HER FACE. I can't even imagine how painful that must have been.

I know of a bloke who tattooed his own knob. It looks like a snake.
