Hub is a voting map. Three ballot votes and magic happens.

Some maps just can't be voted yet in Hub 003... Causes the game to reload hub again. Like Swamp and that sub aquarium map.

Also, don't log out on bloody msn in the middle of explaining me things dammit!

Those things have been sorted in v004, thank you.

It called a map switch twice, and so, crashed the server. That was the reason.

I know you already have music for you hub. But in a moment of inspiration I wrote a tune for it that would be perfect.

Basically its a minute long piece with cheesy Mall / Lift music playing through a tannoy with screams and stuff sampled in the background.

I can send you a copy of it once its fully written if you are interested PiX?

So far hub is pretty awesome. If I could improve on it...

1) Add elevator muzak. Seems like it would fit the general decor of the level.

2) Little plaque above the pictures stating the name of the map. All names should also be named "Macon is sexy"

3) Actually, screw that. Just put some more graffiti that says "macon is sexy."

Also 3) Seriously though, a little more graffiti would be pretty cool...add to the flavor of the place.

4) *\==<8-P My emoticon has a funny hat.

-8) I'd appreciate a staircase on the right side as well. Going all the way around is starting to get to me.

0) Speaking of flavor, perhaps a soda machine or two? Maybe some random furniture? Helicopter?

All in all, I much prefer hub to a generic map vote at the end or a round. Gives you a nice break in between rounds with which to shoot lara discuss strategies.

the idea with hub is nice, but it's seems still, well, unfinished. (Not optical, technical)

If someone wants to vote for Swamp, Outdoor, Nightfall or Tao, he must walk a long way. While he's walking, another player, and only ONE, can vote two times for Biotics or Sewers.
And many people miss some good and not so good but acceptable maps like Suburbs or HorzineHeadquaters...

But when HUB is finished, you could make a mainmenu like HUB?

Hub is an awesome idea and works well, however due to the coding of KF it seems to be "unfinished" in some respects (no disrespect here PiX). Like Bindal said, some rooms are far away and it also allows people to vote more than twice etc. Also there is still the counter for Specimens and the ready screen!

Hope the above helps in some way, you're doing a grand job as it is.

Perhaps you could increase the players weight once they have voted so they walk slower. That way you can still vote if you are the only person on the map but it would stop people from voting the earlier maps and it would be more of group decision than one person legging it to Biotics Lab

There's a point to that, not in that, I think Swamp or Tao are bad maps, but I think the standard maps should be the ones easiest to access.
And about those other maps - talk to Virus. I'm not adding a map he's not hosting.
