O.K I am having trouble with the lights. When I add light effects like make them blink or have a wave effect it works. But when I hit the build button the effects stop and even if I don't hit the build button and just play it wont show any effects.

You need a "special light" for that. It's terribly unoptimized within ut2k4 so they removed that option from a normal light. I would recommend using a projector instead.

Actually PIX helped me out on this one. Quite simple really ... insted of selecting Light Select Triggered Light. and it works for all your effects

Well when you open the actor classes, and scroll to "Light" Insted of choosing just "Light" click on "Triggered Light"
and then change the effect of the light like you would with the actor class "Light"

The easy way to get something complicated to work in your map: Copy a working example from an existing map, and past into your own. Adjust settings to fit map. If you're concerned about permission etc, you can take from any of my maps. I don't care

You could always use a projector...

Since Doyora didn't seem to want to tell you how to copy it from one map to another, open a map, and find a flickering, pulsing, or other wise light. Then right click it, and hit Edit > Copy. Then load your map, and right click some where and hit Edit > Paste > Paste (Here)
should do the trick.

Yea but I would like to learn this without having to do this every time. I don't want to have to keep doing this when ever I want a a light.
