The umm...picture with the whole in the ground, and fire? Yeh...that whole is a little bit "too perfectly round" I think

Yeah, i see what you mean, the screenie's outdated anyhow. Lighting's muffed, so i had to re-make most of teh lights, that'll learn me to mess around with lights... Basically the fort is surrounded by city, there is a mix of long sniping and brutal clos-comabt, there are usually 2-ways to every building, some have only one entrance so you shouldn't run into them. Bump! Decided to shift my attention to another map, believe it or not, this will be done in shorter time than the other maps, cos it's somthing i havne't done in a while and thus more interesting.

Hello again, in case anyone is still waiting for any maps from me, three maps on the go and proberly counting if they become boring, so just a small update in reverse order. Map 3: 'KF-Quarantine_Zone (.9(cos it's not done)) Those who have played SCZ will notice some similarities, like the textures and layout, i am hoping to have every building acessible, bars, homes, warehouses doctors and small malls will make up the building list here, the main layout and several buildings have been done, it's palyable, but not complete, though if anybody wants to play it, merely pm me please (or msn me or somthing). Map 2: 'KF-Tensate' So far i've added alot more trees and added pathing, fair sized level, this would be the quickest to finish if i actually concentrated on this one map, it is playable thus far and can be tested by anybody who wants to pm me about it. Map 1: 'Kf-Lost_Hold' Haven't actually done much else with this map since starting the other maps, pathing/weapons etc is done, just needs a few more rooms in the compound and the static meshes (pratical, but needs the cosmetic side of things), it is playable and a good map if anybody wants to test it.

Sorry, haven't had to much time to play it, lots of stuff goin on. But I did take a run around it. Its cool and all, I like how its huge and you have tons of space to frolic but that may be its biggest problem as well. From what I saw, there is hardly any landmarks at all, and the fog is in very close, so you can barely tell where your running. It needs more stuff in it, its basicly tree's and grass and it really doesn't look any different from your last forest map, you even start at another crashed helicopter. Maybe a river, some fallin tree's, a fence, anything so that you can tell where you are or something. I also found 2 places where you can jump up on the rocks and the specimens can't get you.

When I played Tensate, was immediately emersed into the dark aura of the forest and the music that gave it a spooky ambiance - props for that, you got that down really well.
However like Kyben said, there isn't anything much wrong with then just the confusion you are struck with when you enter this map. Like Outdoor Pursuit, this map has potential to be played alot and be a "favored" map. However, the frustration of navigating your way through an endless forest throws people off so they don't want to play it. I've reached to about wave 3 and I couldn't even find the shop.
Now, what I would do is to add a few landmarks/manmade marks/debris , like Kyben said so you can actually remember where you have been. Signs would also IMMENSELY help, too. You could have like wooden signs that point which direction each pathway of the forests guides you to. Example: "West Forest, North Forest, Shop, etc."
If you think creating signs would make this forest map seem ALOT easier, it won't - even with signs, people have a nature to still get lost.
