I like the hand cannon, yes it can be a bit odd at first, but if used correctly it can be a very handy 2nd weapon when your primary runs out. Like Alex said, much better than both 9mm or duelies.

Now the question is, who likes the Law? At first I wasnt keen, I was too used to quake in the sense of shoot continuously and died repeatidly when some1 either ran in front of me or I was thick and shot too close to the specimens. However once mastered it becomes a great weapon, be patient with it, if specimens do overun you fall back with your 2nd weapon.

Manor is a great map to use the Law, your team stands at bottom of stairs shooting up at specimens, you fall back to the door and shoot when the mob gets big, the amount of specimens this thing takes out is amazing.

Yeah I like the LAW but I think its wasted on enemies like FP's who can take the same amount of LAW rockets as direct hunty shells in the chest.

that's one thing that has been altered in 2.5

Fleshpounds have a shockingly high resistance to anything that's not explosive. The only things that are actually effective at taking them out now are Nades and LAW Rockets.

If you want a giggle, try watching how many magazines it takes from the 9mm to kill one, even on "normal"...i think you'd be there shooting for a few minutes solid ;D

I think the Crossbow is practically useless, It just doesn't seem to have the same amount of use as the others and appears to run out of ammo far too fast. Perhaps if it came with a decent package of arrows it would be a little more effective and worth its price, but at this point it costs too much and there is no reason not to use cheaper weapons to achieve the same effect.
My favourite Weapon is probably the Axe. Its so brutal and awesome, also requires a bit of skill to use.

Because no one knows how to use it.

The Xbow is extremely deadly and can take out a good amount of enemies at the same time from a distance, something obviously the HS can't do.

Though I do agree it needs more ammo.

the xbow kills per bolt count is way to thin. under normal circumstances u just dont have a bunch of critters lining up for a shot of yours, as most ppl try to kill stuff right after it spawns and so u get to waste ur bolts on packs of 3 to 6 enemies. its either that or the map has way to little open spaces and to many corners which prevent lines from forming up

Yeah, I have used it a few times...very powerful however it needs some kind of sniper-perch where the Specimens can't get to you. That and more ammo.

Anyway, you were not clear enough about the 'cant get to you part' thus making me think you where a glitch abuser.
Which made me wonder what your problem was, am i now specific enough?
