Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy is released! Woo! With that, I deleted my XP partition on my laptop and installed Linux again. Time to kill the forum with a big image lookout, again. Actually, lets see if this forum supports it... EDIT: Nope, it doesnt.  Yeh? You see that, a 1.8GHz processor running at 2% CPU usage. Thats with a lot of fancy stuff added on, Avant Dock Bar, GTK2 theme, Compiz Fusion(With all the effects on) and screenlets. Now, lets compare that to Vista! Well, Vista Aero won't even run on my laptop. Can't even enable it. And on my PC, it takes up 700mb RAM...Ubuntu is currently taking up 50mb, and a lot of that is saved by my 1GB Swap. |

u shouldnt take the linux performance display to serious, biggest part of the time its just wrong. already had my mouse laggin like shit when i had ucc make in wine, and top showed 2% for it

Yes I know, I just keep it there to fill the screen.
I tell the processor usage by how the badly the fan is working. The fan only switches on every minute or so when idling just to cool it down. On Vista its always on, and making the paint on the wall beside it melt ._.

Not sure if this is a Necro post but o well.  My new custom background. I modded my desktop the way I wanted it to be. This time I am showing some of my programs, Games and so. The 3 folders in my last background I used to hide my icons and stuff. I got alot of programs/games.  |
